.my 2011.

In January, we got a few inches of snow.

In February, we got a literal blizzard along with a few feet of snow. I was a prisoner in my own home for at least 3 days.

In March, I fulfilled a wholesale order for a shop in Fayetteville. I made giraffes and pillows and was pretty stinkin tired of sewing for a while after that!

In April, I co-hosted a baby shower for my sister-in-law.

In May, Hubs and I went camping with some great friends of ours and brought our dogs along with us.

In June, we took our annual trip to Kansas City for a weekend of baseball.

In July, we celebrated the 4th with a few different fireworks shows (3 to be exact)!

In August, my brother became a Daddy when Levi William was born. Also in this month, Hubs and I took a trip to Frisco, TX to celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary.

My sister and her husband came for a visit and met Levi for the first time in September.

In October, Hubs and I got to take a trip to Little Rock for our friends' Hannah and Brian's wedding.

November was a big month for me. I had my very first craft booth at my small town's Fall Festival.

December marked our year to host the Bro Family's Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. We did it up tacky 80's style!

Thankful I can look back on another year full of the Lord's blessings.

Here's to the New Year!

.just one slight problem.

Food.

It's my vice. My arch nemesis. My biggest hurdle. My forbidden love.

Food.

I enjoy it.

However, there is just one little problem.

I needa lose a few lbs.

And changing the way I eat is a good place to start.

Going grocery shopping tomorrow. My list includes lots of fruit and words like "whole wheat."

Gonna give this whole healthy lifestyle thing a whirl.

It won't be easy for the girl known for her candy bowl AND cabinet. The one who dips E.L. Fudge cookies in soda. And smothers her waffles in syrup.

No, it won't be easy.

But that's how I know it'll be worth it.

Hold me accountable?

.christmas break bucket list.

Today was my last day of work for 18 days. But who's counting? Yeah, it's Christmas break!

I've been thinking about how I can spend my time (semi wisely) without getting completely slothful/fat/unproductive.

Here's what I've come up with. My Christmas Break Bucket List, if you will:

+++++++

+ Make Oreo Balls (because I had some today and they were divine!)

+ Work out at least 4 times per week

+ Get all remaining Christmas gifts wrapped (obviously)

+ Spend AT LEAST one whole day in bed, in pajamas, watching tv/movies and browsing Pinterest

+ Spend AT LEAST one whole day shopping

+ Get my hair done. (That's tomorrow!)

+ Have AT LEAST one Girls' Night Out

+ Focus one day on major cleaning/organizing of the house

+ Create exciting lesson plans and new classroom decor for when school starts back

+ Read my Bible every day (because I've gotten out of the habit and I'll have no excuses while on break. Not like I ever have a good excuse to not read God's word anyway.)

+++++++

And even though a majority of those activities fall into the slothful/fat/unproductive category, if I am purposefully doing them, I am at the very least checking things off this list, which, in a weird twisted way, is being productive.

Please don't argue with me on this.

It's Christmas Break. I'm allowed to get fat.

.Conclude.
