My Newest Treasures

St. Patrick's day was good to me! Maybe it's because I have some Irish blood in me. :-) Or because I wore green today, even though it was a complete accident! I had the day off, so I went treasure hunting pretty much all day. I had some great luck finding things I have been looking for and at great prices too. I even discovered a new antique mall that has been around 4 months, and I just found out about it. It's now my favorite place. Seriously! Here are some of the deals I scored today:

Coat and hat rack for entryway. Only $20
Piano bench for entryway. $15. (Will be re-painted)

Simon likes this wooden heart.

$3 - I saw it and immediately grabbed it. It's me.

Deal of the day right here! Sewing table in sturdy, excellent condition for $24 at the Salvation Army!!! It's home will be in the Shabby Chic guest room, so it will be painted white!

I get very excited about being able to decorate my house on a small budget, but in a big way. I have lots of d.i.y. projects up my sleeve and can't wait to get them started. I am going to make some pillows for the piano bench and hopefully add a wider piece of wood to the bottom so that I can put baskets below.

So many ideas, so little time!!! I can't wait to show you the finished product once I get every room completely decorated! :-)
